These new AI tools will transform your content
It’s been a few weeks since we shared an update on the latest AI-powered design tools, which is about a decade in AI-years.
Some of the most impressive new features come from Canva – the tool that has become many marketers’ go-to suite for social content, and a lot more. They bundled the updates in an announcement called “Droptober,” and there’s a lot to unpack.
Here are the most interesting changes you’ll see the next time you log into your Canva dashboard:
- DreamLab — The new text-to image generator now comes with an AI-assistant chatbot that will guide you through your creation. It also has a series of prompt suggestions that will help us all generate better outputs that can include 3D renderings, illustrations, or just about any other style you can imagine.
- Interactive Charts — Add a table of data to Canva and it will convert your info into a dynamic bar chart, pie chart, or anything else you need.
- Improvements to MagicWrite — The text generator will now guide you through the creative process, giving feedback on your work and offering suggestions for prompts you can use to make changes.
- AI-powered Whiteboards — A collaborative tool for brainstorming or planning with your team. The tool will organize, make suggestions, and summarize your ideas.
- Coming Soon — They also teased a bunch of new tools including a mockup generator, polls & quizzes, and branded captions for your videos.
Not to be outdone, Midjourney launched an image editor that you can use to modify any image, ranging from high resolution to pencil sketches.
Meanwhile, Stable Diffusion is now producing the largest image files among the AI tools – its new model can output images that are up to 1 megapixel. They also announced improvements that will ensure a more diverse representation of people in their images.
And finally, this is a small one, but it may be the most useful to social media managers: Instagram is adding an image expander for Stories that will allow you to expand landscape images to fill the vertical 9:16 aspect ratio.
